ORF is a SPAM Filter for Microsoft Exchange servers and the IIS SMTP Service.
ORF employs a wide variety of spam filtering technologies, such as DNS blacklists, SURBLs, Greylisting and many others to identify spam and other kind of unwanted email.
Feature Highlights
For a more complete list of features, please visit the Features section.
Wide range of filtering tools
ORF has more than a dozen built-in tests to ensure filtering performance with a low number of false positives. See screenshot.
Low false positive rate: Auto Sender Whitelist
By monitoring outbound emails, this feature automatically builds a list of your partners and automatically excludes them from filtering, without having to manually maintain a list of trusted senders.
Not just a spam filter
ORF also offers Email Security by validating the authenticity of the Email Sender (SPF Test) and by filtering attachments. The External Agents feature allows attaching anti-virus software.
Monitoring and reporting
ORF produces detailed, customisable logs that can be browsed and filtered by a built-in log Viewer (see screenshot). Real-time statistics and detailed printable reports help to fine-tune performance and understand your email traffic better (see screenshot)
Outstanding performance
Due to its design, ORF does not require extensive processor and memory resources, an average server hardware can deal with a million emails a day—ORF is actually used under this kind of load.
Recipient validation
By rejecting invalid recipients during the delivery (based on the Active Directory, a SQL server database or just a text file), ORF can save your queues from filling up with undeliverable non-delivery reports.
